As one of the world's foremost experts in functional and integrative medicine, Ann Louise holds an M.S. in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, has the title of Certified Nutrition Specialist (C.N.S.) from the American College of Nutrition and a Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition. She has also served as the Chief Nutritionist of Pediatric Clinic at Bellevue Hospital and is the former Director of Nutrition at the Pritikin Longevity Center in Santa Monica, CA. She has won numerous awards, including The American Medical Writers Association Award for Excellence.

Over the years, Ann Louise has been a regular health contributor on several television shows, including Good Morning America, 20/20, The View, Dr. Phil and Early Show. In addition, her work has been featured on ABC, CNN, PBS, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CBN, Fox News and the BBC. She is an award-winning New York Times bestselling author on health and nutrition.

Dr. Steven Ross Murray is the Director of the Physical Education Program and a Professor of Teaching in the College of Letters and Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Alabama in physical education, his master's and doctoral degrees from Middle Tennessee State University in wellness and fitness and physical education, respectively. Dr. Murray previously was a Professor and former Head of the Department of Kinesiology, and Acting Dean of the School of Business and Professional Studies at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Dr. Murray is the author of Wellness for Life and Fitness Walking. In addition to his books, he has published over 150 articles in academic journals and other periodicals, including Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, Nikephoros: Zeitschrift für Sport und Kultur im Altertum, Palamedes: A Journal of Ancient History, The Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine, Journal of Athletic Training, The Physical Educator, The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and The Physician and Sportsmedicine. He has been a reviewer, contributing editor, editor-in-chief, and invited referee for several publishing companies and academic journals.

Lastly, he is an avid runner and sportsman, and he has completed numerous multi-sport events, including the IRONMAN® World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Charareh Pourzand, DSc, FHEA, FRSB is an internationally recognized academic scientist who leads research in the field of Skin Photobiology and Biopharmaceutics for over twenty years at the University of Bath (United Kingdom). She is the Theme Leaders of 'Medicines Design' at the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology and 'Medicines Development' at the Centre for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI) of the University of Bath. She is also the Co-Chair of the International Skin@Bath Network and Vice-Chair of the 'Energy and Metabolism' panel of the Biochemical Society (United Kingdom).

With several collaborative studies at the biology-chemistry interface, she has established herself as a truly multidisciplinary researcher with unique expertise in the field of oxidative stress, iron and redox homeostasis of the skin. It was Pourzand who discovered that exposure of skin cells to ultraviolet A, the oxidizing component of sunlight, promotes an immediate increase in labile iron pool, which is now known to play a key role in skin photoaging and the promotion of carcinogenesis.

She has published several research articles and patents in this field and has had solid collaborative projects for more than a decade with industrial pharmaceutics interested in her innovative approaches for sun protection and the therapy of iron-related skin disorders (i.e. Estee Lauder, Garnier/L'Oreal and Croda Europe Ltd). Pourzand completed her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and postdoctoral trainings in Switzerland at the Universities of Neuchatel, Lausanne and Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer research, respectively.

Robertson Ward, M.D., is an internationally known physician, author, and researcher. His career has been noted by his passion for integrative medicine. He has combined natural remedies within his traditional medical practice in both hospital and ambulatory settings. Fueled by his love for scientific discovery, Dr. Ward is committed to being on the cutting edge of research and the advancement of science. He has been involved in more than a dozen Phase III clinical trials in a wide variety of medical studies, from hypertension to fibromyalgia. He is also a recognized expert in the field of redox biochemistry and published Healthy Cells, Healthy Life in 2017 to help health-conscious people understand ways in which this field of science can help advance health.
